Saving Energy Tip At Home

Saving energy tip at home is saving energy in the results of work of saving money, the use of certain energy-efficient and renewable energy technologies can also help to improve worker comfort.

Energy Star Product for Saving Energy Tip
ENERGY STAR is a U.S. government program created in 1992 by the U.S. Agency for Environmental Protection in an attempt to reduce energy consumption and emissions of greenhouse gases from power plants. What began originally as a voluntary labeling program grew up in one of the greatest global efforts aimed at promoting consumer products energy efficient.

Energy Star labels are found on more than 40 product categories and in 2005 alone is responsible for saving consumers more than 12 billion dollars.

Why should all save energy

Our energy consumption is also significantly affect its weather patterns. Each time a fossil fuel is burned, CO2 is released during the process in the atmosphere, the natural evolution of the Earth's climate and weather systems. So of course long hot and summers, heat waves may be a welcome change from the usual weather in the wet UK, flooding, ice caps decrease, droughts and weather extremes in the world are not so desirable.

Here are some more startling predictions of what climate change may cause, and how we will be affected:
* Major floods can now begin to occur every 10 or 20 years instead of once or twice a century
* Sea level could rise by almost a meter by 2100
* London and the South East will be at a greater risk of flooding
* Exposure to higher levels of UV light can cause an additional 5000 deaths per year from skin cancer
* Climate change could drive more than a quarter of land animals and plant species to extinction

More than a quarter of CO2 produced in the United Kingdom comes from the fuel we use in our homes, so cutting the amount of energy each we use would have a major impact. The WWF has called for a reduction of at least 60 percent of carbon dioxide emissions by 2050.

Energy Saving Tip
1. Adjust your thermostat - Install a Programmable Thermostat is compatible with your heating and cooling. Make sure put comfortably low in winter and comfortably high in summer.

2. Low temperature of your water heater - Lower the thermostat on your water heater to 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

3. To wash clothes or dishes. Follow the instructions at full load. Never use the dishwasher or washing machine at least it harbors a at full load.

4. The food aid tape - Plug your electronics into power strips. In turn these electronic devices, power off using the power bar to prevent stand-by drawing electricity unnecessarily.

5. Computer monitors and Power Down - Shut down your computer and monitor when they are not used. Contrary to popular belief beliefs, on and off will not cause damage. If you're away from your computer at different intervals, make sure you set the power saving options.

6. Wipe the dishes - dishes air dry instead of using the heated drying cycle.

7. Wash in cold water - Wash clothes in cold water. This reduces not only the hot water consumption, but it is better for your and clothing.

8. Using compact fluorescent lighting - Use compact fluorescent bulbs to illuminate your home. Not only do these bulbs use less Energy, but they last longer than raditional bulbs.

9. Take shorter showers - Take short showers instead of baths. The amount of water used, and heated for a much less shower.

10. Look for the Energy Star label - Buy products that have the Energy Star label on them. All products meet Energy Star strict guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Energy.

11. Actions that do not cost anything, in order of energy (and money) saved, are: Lower the temperature of water heaters 120 ° F, turn down the thermostat in winter, wash your clothes in cold water, turn off unnecessary lights and electronics, and air dry your clothes in summer.

12. low-cost measures which are also in order to savings: Install a programmable thermostat, seal large air leaks in your house insulate your water heater, add insulation in your attic, seal and insulate air conditioning ducts, and installing efficient showerheads.

13. Additional steps: conducting an energy audit at home, your heating system serviced, and the curtains open on south windows during the day to allow sunlight to naturally heat your home and close them at night to reduce cold.

Conclusion
Everyone should have the awareness to implement energy-saving tip.

  2. You offer some really great tips and I am proud to say that I already do many of these things. At the beginning of this summer I made the switch to Reliable Power. While I now work for them, I think they provide a great opportunity for people to further lower their utility bills as well as use renewable power. This energy solution uses the same electricity but at a reduced rate from you local utility so you pay less and save more.
